NEWS FLASH - NEWS FLASH - NEWS FLASH

Greenwood has moved the main farm back to the Yarra Valley in Dixons Creek  - it's an exciting time for us with lots of plans for the next six months.  Yards almost finished and fencing is done....for all of us who have tackled this job what can I say but YIPPEE !! Most of the girls and boys have lived here before and they are very keen for me to finish slashing around the dams so they can go bathing again...not ideal for their fleece I keep telling them but its been difficult for the shearers to keep up with our Victorian weather and they are all running very behind schedule.

GREENWOOD has joined the group that will hold an auction at Alexandra on Saturday June 2nd 2012. Normally "Oasis and Friends Annual Sale" is held around the date of the AAA National each year , at the Oasis farm, but as this year it clashes with to many other events and major shows the date has been changed.

As always there will hot food available, coffee, tea & cold drinks - help yourself. Seating is table and chairs for your comfort.

Weather is never an issue as it is all indoors.

The auction is held on Saturday and alpacas without transport on the day can be picked up on the Sunday or within the next week by prior arrangement.

Transport can also be arranged by contacting Greenwood Alpaca Stud.

July 2011

We have just successfully negotiated a group of alpaca from Buxton Park Alpacas who are "retiring" and Yes , they are not grey or black! We are very excited about this group as there are some superior genetics included and especially the two new males in the group - Sebastian and Jim Bob...Check out the SIRES page...arent they fantastic. We like to keep our boys working and offer very reasonable mating prices. Jump onboard and take advantage of Greenwoods 'early bird' introductory prices.

***Discounts apply for numbers of three plus *** the opportunity to mate this Spring. May 23 2011.

GREENWOOD HAS RE-PURCHASED Greenwood GREYLORD as we honestly have been unable to find a silver grey male that re-produces both his quality and grey progeny over and over. There are other great males out there but none are able to reproduce the desired grey over and over...most only give you 50% grey and then mostly browns...We are obviously excited about this next years generation...Grey to Grey, and Grey to black and browns with him will give us approx 85% plus in predictability.

Thank you to all my friends and new breeders who have purchased from me, once again showing that we( the alpacas & I ) are heading in the right direction with our breeding.

Silage being cut and the girls / cria / are loving the clover they are finding underneath the long grass.

We look forward to contact from alpaca lovers.

I look forward to your contact re alpaca that have not yet been listed that you may have found on the data base.

Introducing AF "KUSH"....Our beautiful male who is out of the supreme Fawn   lineage that produced  FFFBlack Onyx , who was retired from showing after 29 ribbons from 27 shows.

Kush has superb type, perfect conformation , super soft fleece and enormous fleece length.  A very worthy addition to our hers sire stable.

We are using Kush over our blacks to bring out his absolutely wonderful type and long, long fleece.
